Reminders

I am pondering what has been a very strange week, in it I have been reminded again and again of the fruitfulness of past ministry. it comes at a time when I need those reminders, alongside reminders of God’s faithfulness and equipping for the tasks required at the time. I have been reminded of poetry and how I have used words, of past missional initiatives through unexpected meetings. How can it be that this week 4 different people have turned up in Blackpool and we have without any forward planning bumped into one another.

I have also been made aware of the power of prayer, and  overwhelmed by the love of God for those I have offered prayer for. In the same way came a reminder that we are not only all fragile and broken but all loved and completely Then to offer acceptance and forgiveness without being seen or acting as a door-mat, and to give a challenge gently have all given me a glimpse into the heart of God…

So a strange week, but a deep reminder of grace, the gift of the Spirit given who often whispers to us in the quiet that has turned for me this week into a catalogue of reminders, and promptings to trust, to have confidence, to accept grace and love and affirmation, and I am overwhelmed!

About Sally C

How do I describe myself, I am not what I do, (I am a Methodist Minister), I am not who I am related to (I have 5 wonderful children, and 2 lovely granddaughters). I am a seeker truth, a partaker of life in all it's fullness and a follower, sometimes stumbling, sometimes celebrating of the Christian pathway. I seek wholeness, joy and a connectedness to all things through a deep reconciliation with the God whose love blows my socks off!
