Shame and reality…..

My dear,

there is no shame

for you are held in love,

you may feel the sting,

experience the fall,

you may stumble, and stutter,

you may want to hide,

to be strong, capable,

to be brave…

+

but bravery comes in strange disguises,

the cross,

the tomb,

hope lost

only to be regained,

re-found,

re-known…

+

so often

hope comes

in vulnerability,

truth in relationship,

love in honesty,

+

so be known,

be loved,

be real….

+

there is no shame

in being real

only love

+

but you will have to

come out of hiding to find it…

About Sally C

How do I describe myself, I am not what I do, (I am a Methodist Minister), I am not who I am related to (I have 5 wonderful children, and 2 lovely granddaughters). I am a seeker truth, a partaker of life in all it's fullness and a follower, sometimes stumbling, sometimes celebrating of the Christian pathway. I seek wholeness, joy and a connectedness to all things through a deep reconciliation with the God whose love blows my socks off!
